Ulf Björklund (b. 1956), CEO, M.Sc. in Pharmacy
Mr. Björklund has over 25 years of experience from the drug development and pharmaceutical industry, the larger part of which he has held managerial positions with Pharmacia.

Prior to joining OxyPharma, he was Pharmacia's Head of Clinical Operations for the Nordic countries where he was responsible for all clinical research activities, both administrative and operational. As Regional Clinical Operations Director, Mr. Björklund was responsible for a designated region. The responsibilities included coordination of clinical research activities spanning R&D sites in Sweden, Italy and the USA, and the local country Medical Departments in the Nordic countries, UK, Ireland, Holland, South Africa, Australia and New Zeeland. Other responsibilities included recruitment, development and evaluation of regional clinical research personnel and resource deployment and monitoring.

Before this, he was Section Manager, Ophthalmology, in the Department of Clinical Research. During this time he was responsible for the successful development of Xalatan both as line manager and as a member of the core team. Among other positions, he has worked as Manager, Clinical Quality Assurance where the main activities were compilation of Standard Operating Procedures, training, education and performing company audits. Mr. Björklund is a member of the Educational Counsel for Clinical Trials, the Swedish Pharmaceutical Society.
